Shot in 2005, the day after the Tour de France peloton rode on these very same roads. It is a wonderful course with fantastical panoramas and should not be missing from any Real Life Video collection, especially if you are into exhausting mountain stages. It was George Hincapie who won one of the toughest stages in the 2005 Tour de France here. Now you too can experience what he had to endure during the final three climbs of stage 15! Most riders think the Pyrenees are tougher than the Alps. The reason for this is that the roads in the Alps are smoother than their Pyrenean counterparts. You will feel it in the course of this ride. The going gets tough, and you’ll have to shift constantly in order to keep moving.
