Thus in 2008 Marianne Vos worked in close collaboration with Tacx on her preparation for the Olympic time trial in Peking. After the course was filmed and the GPS data stored in the computer as well, a programme was rolled out in which Vos imagined herself to be in the mountains around Peking. She worked on the course day in and day out in her bedroom at Babyloniënbroek, the locality where she lives. In the end Vos did not win the race against the clock in China, but she put so much power and pace into it that a couple of days later she became an Olympic champion, in the points race on the track.
